Taaj Lawn Care did not begin as a business plan.
It began with real work in the soil.
I grew up in a farming family in India, where discipline was part of everyday life. From a young age, I worked alongside my father in the fields. Early mornings, long days, and responsibility that could not be postponed that's where I learned respect for the land and pride in doing a job properly.
Working outdoors was never just labor to me. It was where I felt most at home.
Even before starting a company, I was already doing the work. While studying and working, I regularly mowed lawns for neighbors in my community. Those early jobs taught me something important: people value reliability just as much as results.
The Journey to Canada
In 2023, I moved to Canada with the same work ethic and connection to outdoor work. I worked as a chef at Fritters on the Lake, where I learned professionalism from a different environment. Serving customers with care, maintaining consistency, and paying attention to detail became daily habits.
That experience strengthened my understanding of service. But I always knew my long-term path was outside building something of my own through physical work.

How Taaj Was Born
Together with my friend Tania, I decided to build a company that reflects who we are and how we work.
The name Taaj represents both founders: "Ta" comes from Tania, and "aj" comes from Pankaj.
Before launching full-time, we spent a year working as contractors. This allowed us to understand Canadian customer expectations, gain hands-on experience, and build confidence through real projects.
Taaj Lawn Care was built with preparation and purpose.
